MARY SAWATZKY
(nee NEUFELD)
Mary was born on January 8, 1939, in Neuendorf, Ukraine, which was then part of the Soviet Union.
She was predeceased by her twin sister Hilda; her parents, Martin and Susanna Neufeld; and two grandchildren in infancy, Jessica and Christopher. She is survived by her husband Bernhard (Ben); her siblings, Susie, Martin (Elsie), John (Catherine), Katie (Willie), Hilda (John); her children, Donald (Kathy), Doris (Barry), Arlene (Larry); and grandchildren, Breanna (Troy), Michelle (Keaton), Matthew, Michael, Thomas and Alec.
Mary will be missed by her many extended family and friends, the Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church community and the Lindenwood Estates community.
A burial has taken place at Sargent Avenue Mennonite Cemetery in Springstein, MB. A memorial service will be planned at a future date.

My Mom, Vi, and Mary worked together at Warkov’s and remained friends for years. Mary came to visit my Mom before she passed last year and at Mom’s funeral Mary told us that she was losing her battle with cancer and would be with Mom soon. Her comments brought me peace at a difficult time. I’m sure they’re spending time together having some laughs. Deepest condolences to Ben and family and friends. I’m so sorry for your loss.
