FERNANDE PAULINE MEILLEUR
February 14, 1938 - April 27, 2020

It is with great sadness that we are announcing that Fern passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2020.
Fern was predeceased by her beloved husband, Emile. She will be lovingly missed and fondly remembered by her children: Louise, Ray (Teresa), Lorraine, Ron (Ruth); grandchildren: Briane, Kennedy, Reid, Chase and Morgan; siblings: Rachel, Bertha (Leo), Robert, Jackie (Paul), Joseph, Ulysse (Arlene); as well as many nieces, nephews, and her many friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Hector and Gilberte; siblings: Jeannine, Rheal, Remi, Herve and Elliette.
As many know, Fern and Emile loved to dance. The family is at peace in the knowledge that Fernie and Emile are once again united, and on the dance floor.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Fern may be made to ALS Society of Manitoba.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and no formal service will be held.

  • I remember so many times sitting at the kitchen table over a great meal. Laughing, playing some kind of card game, having a drink or two with family and friends, and always late into the night. Ma Tante Fernande...tu me manques...toujours. We will remember fondly, anytime we meet with family now. Sending you all our sincere condolences. - Posted by: Dolaine Koch (Niece) on: May 03, 2020

  • We extend our deepest sympathy to Fern's Family , her children and Grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, Mother and Grandmother. She was a great sister-in-law who loved everyone and welcomed each and every one of us in her home at any time. She also invited many friends to party and eat her delicious food. She was such a wholesome person. She will surely be missed by her immediate family, her siblings and her in-laws. May she rest in peace with my brother her husband and the rest of her siblings. Now she can dance and sing her heart away which she thoroughly enjoyed. - Posted by: Lorraine and Sonney Pinnock (Sister-in-law) on: May 02, 2020

  • My deepest Sympathies to you all. Although it has been many years since we have talked, i still have powerful memories of the warmth and kindness i felt whenever i was around your family. Mr. and Mrs. Meilleur were like second parents to me for a lot of years in my early teens and my exposure to their marriage and commitment to each other and to family was a real influence on how i grew up, respecting their way of living. I hope you all can take some kind of comfort in knowing that i ( and i am sure a lot of other people) have become better people for having known them. Take care and stay well! - Posted by: dan paul (Friend of the family) on: May 02, 2020
