Please accept my sincerest condolences. Mr. Nishibata or "Nishi" as the class called him was my science teacher for 1st year at Red River College. I remember him as a really nice man, he was always very calm and patient with the class. - Posted by: dave carpick (former student) on: May 04, 2020

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Nishibata's passing. He was a good teacher, very earnest and dedicated to encouraging an interest in science. In those days, I did not have the wisdom to see that science could be important and worth the effort to understand it deeply. I regret now that I did not take Mr. Nishibata's efforts more seriously. But I give him immense credit for trying every day to do his best with tough cases like me. He earned merit in life through his persistence. - Posted by: Ian Gillies (Former student) on: May 03, 2020

I am so saddened on hearing this. Mori was my home room teacher at Glenlawn in 1966. He was a great guy and was often heard to say "Is that a fact?" My class was rather unruly but Mori took it in stride. He also taught us Chemistry. I will always have fond memories of him. You have my deepest sympathies - Posted by: Barry Malowanchuk (Former Student ) on: May 02, 2020

My sincerest condolences to the entire Nishibata family on the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Nishibata was my chemistry and home room teacher at Glenlawn Collegiate back in the late '60s. He was an excellent teacher who had a very positive affect on a lot of students including myself when, as an example, he wrote what must have been an "award-winning" reference letter ...lol...that allowed me to get a hockey bursary to attend 1st year university. He was just a super-nice guy. In fact, "Nishibata" has been the answer to the secret password question "Who was your favorite teacher?" that I have used for years for a couple of my computer files....lol. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Once again my sincerest condolences to everyone in this difficult time. Doug Wilson - Posted by: Doug Wilson (Former student at Glenlawn Collegiate) on: May 02, 2020
