ROSEMARY (MICKEY) ANN DE JONG

With profound sadness we announce the passing of our mother Rosemary (Mickey) Ann de Jong on April 20, 2020. She left us peacefully at her residence at Kin Place in Oakbank, Manitoba.
Rosemary was born on March 3, 1946 in Carshalton, England. She immigrated to Edmonton, Alberta, in 1948 with her father Richard, her mother Elsie and her sister Jeanette. In 1968 she married Ronald de Jong. Rosemary and the family then moved to Manitoba in 1973. Her husband Ron, their daughter Marianne and son Michael. Here they remained and built a good life of love and happiness.
She was the proud grandmother of Neisha, Ron and Maximus and aunt to Jennifer Sipe and Harvey Teed.
Predeceased by her devoted husband Ronald de Jong and sister Jeanette.
Mickey lived a full life as a mother, homemaker and dancer in her younger years.
She was a feisty lady who loved to garden, watch sci fi, paint and write.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
Due to these unprecedented times we are saddened to say there will be no service held.
Our family wishes to thank the staff at Kin Place for their dedicated and wonderful care of our mother.
