ELFRIEDE ANNA DAMM
(nee KLEIN)
Predeceased by her husband Erich in 2002, and her son Kelly in 2003, she leaves to mourn her passing her children, Ursula Reagan (Ron), Eric (Deidre) and Patricia Reider (Alan), her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Daniel, Benjamin, Jonathan, Adrienne and Tyler; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Friedrich and Dorothea Klein, and one brother Heinrich.
Born in Frankfurt, Germany on September 26, 1928, Elfriede came to Winnipeg in 1954. She was employed in the garment trade until her retirement in 1988. She loved cooking and baking for her family and friends and enjoyed knitting for various charities, especially for fundraising events for the Luther Home Senior's facility. Elfriede had a great sense of generosity and humour and will be dearly missed by her family and many people who had made her acquaintance throughout her life.
Interment of ashes has taken place.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for her care.
If friends so desire, donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made in Elfriede's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.

I was introduced to Oma by her son Kelly. I was quickly considered family and felt very at home with the family. Oma made this possible, she made sure of that. So many memories of life in the neighborhood. I would like to share one of the memories that makes me smile. One beautiful summer day friends of Kelly gathered at our house next door to Oma. We had a few beers, we had the kiddie pool out, lots of laughs were happening. Soon enough the noise level increased and Kelly and I started having a beer fight. We were spraying each other, we were soaked in beer and out of the corner of my eye I saw Oma standing in our yard, hands on her hips and a scowl on her face. We stopped dead in our tracks. We were told to quiet down and quit wasting the beer. We all laughed so hard. I loved her! We shared so many great meals with Oma. Great cook, loving heart, and a level head. Thank you for the memories. Rest in paradise dear lady. XOXO - Posted by: Cindy Campbell (Extended family ) on: May 02, 2020
