Date of Passing: May 07, 2020Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or Memory
She moved to Ottawa in 1973 where she worked at the R.C.M.P. headquarters. In 1976 she married John Fefchak. As newlyweds they moved to Moose Jaw, SK, so John could continue his long career with the Royal Canadian Air Force. In 1982 John retired and they made their home in Virden, Manitoba.
Norma was educated and raised in a bilingual home and was so proud of her French Canadian heritage. Her Catholic faith was so important to her - it carried her through her life and her final days. She will always be remembered for her service to others, offered without request or reward.
Norma leaves to mourn her beloved husband of 43 years, stepdaughter Judie Klassen (Ron) and two precious granddaughters, Andrea and Amy of Cartier, Manitoba. She also leaves her brother Gérald Tibbits (Kate Merry) of Salt Spring Island, BC; nephews, Joël and Daniel Tibbits; and nieces, Leilani Steeves (née Kawano) and Carolyn Krazanowski (née Kawano), along with their families. She was predeceased by her sister Hélène and brother-in-law K.O. Kawano. She will also be missed by the Fefchak and related Cooper families.
A service in her memory will be held at a later date.
For those who wish, donations may be made to Virden's Sacred Heart Parish Remembrance Fund or to the Canadian Cancer Society in Norma's memory.
I shall pass this way but once; any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.
