Tribute to our family friend Tom Hallem. Thank-you for always being a happy, joyous individual partaking memorable moments in the Groshaks' lives. You will be deeply missed. Rest In Peace. We love you. - Posted by: Jessica Siwicki (Lifelong Family Friend) on: Aug 09, 2020

Though we attended several family get-togethers on Prosper St. over the years when our grandparents were alive, our paths did not really cross again until a few years ago for several pot-lucks with the next generation. At a pot-luck at Janice and Tom’s, it was great to see his gardening skills and sample his wine. Our condolences to Janice and family. Our hearts go out to you, Janice & Tommy. We've shared so many great memories with you that we'll always cherish. Tom was a great friend to so many and will truly be missed. - Posted by: Jay & Amanda (Friends) on: May 19, 2020

I learned a lot from Tom's common sense approach to officiating. In particular was his advice on listening to coaches, when you knew they were wrong. A thoughtful ear and a "Thank you coach" goes a long way. The MFOA lost a great official when he decided to hang up cleats. My condolences to his family. - Posted by: Adam Paradowski (Friend and former Ref) on: May 19, 2020

My condolences to Janice and the family. I Officiated many Amateur Football games, as well as worked on the CFL Support crew with him. Lots of fond memories of road trips to games. Loved his positive attitude and sense of humor. - Posted by: Brian (Friend) on: May 19, 2020

I had the privilege and joy of working on the old "grid iron" with Tom. He approached the game with a sense of professionalism and good humour. It was a sad day when he decided to stop officiating. He was missed by all - Posted by: Ken Lazaruk (Friend and former ref) on: May 19, 2020

My condolences to Tom's family on his passing. I would like to share a quote with them. Tom has not died, but merely gone away, to a better place, free of pain and suffering. We will see him again some day. Rest In Peace Tom. You are loved and will be missed. - Posted by: Patricia Homenick (Former student at Nelson McIntyre Collegiate) on: May 16, 2020
