  • Carol was a fine lady. Loving, funny, kind and adventurous. I remember sitting with her and talking as her sweet Mom Kay was in the hospital. Carol loved life and always called my Dad on his birthday. She spoke to him on April 22, 2020 and he told me she said she was good. Carol you will be greatly missed. I send my prayers and condolences to the family. - Posted by: Sabina Amaral (Friend) on: May 26, 2020

  • Carol loved life. And we enjoyed volunteering at the Ukraine-Kyiv Pavilion during Folklorama and working for her in the Invited Guests Division because she was fun to be around. In one of her last email messages, she quoted former First Lady Barbara Bush and said "Cherish your human connections." And that is what she did. We have many fond memories of our connection with Carol. Вічна їй пам'ять! - Posted by: Sylvia Todaschuk, Rosemarie & John, Charlene & Andrij, Peter & Tatiana (Friends) on: May 20, 2020

  • Carol’s accomplishments as a career civil servant in Ottawa and Manitoba, as a dedicated volunteer in her Winnipeg and Fraserwood communities, a world traveller to every continent, a mentor, to mention a few, are exemplary. We love her and will miss her very much. (And the “Winnipeg” recipes she so willingly shared). Heartfelt condolences to Bob and his family and to all of Carol’s family. Carol rocked! Love, Marg in B.C. - Posted by: Margaret Kurys (Cousin to Bob) on: May 16, 2020

  • I will especially miss Carol’s travel stories. Where in the world hadn’t she visited? The last adventure story she shared was to Haida Gwaii where she valiantly climbed in and out of hovercraft, getting soaked every time. She was a bright, energetic and above all, caring person. I will also miss chatting about politics, sharing recipes and keeping up with family news. Family meant everything to her. We will miss her dearly. - Posted by: Elaine Seepish (Cousin to Bob) on: May 16, 2020

  • I will treasure the friendship, Carol and I working together, from the 70s and continuing with our last times in AZ while retired. Memories made in this friendship, happy, fun, sad...make me blessed for having met Carol. RIP dear friend. Deepest Sympathy to Bob, and all the families. - Posted by: Caroline Steele (Friends forever) on: May 16, 2020

  • Carol was the “ boss “ at Louis Dreyfus in 1970 when i started my first job She welcomed me and helped me as did Don and Ozzie Thomas - the real boss and an awesome person. Carol could type 100+ wpm and did 20 page wheat documenrs without ONE error. She was always immaculately dressed and made up - her curled up perfect eyebrows were unique and her trademark. Havent seen her for 50 years but she has always been one of my very favorite friends . Kelly Moss - Posted by: Kelly moss (Co worker) on: May 16, 2020
