RONALD LOUIS MINKUS
September 24, 1935 - May 8, 2020
He graduated high school from Neepawa Collegiate and journeyed to Snow Lake, Manitoba where he worked for two years. Ron joined the Manitoba Hydro Lineman Apprenticeship Program receiving his certification in 1965. He worked in various locations during this time and in June, 1963, married Sharon Motheral. In 1974, he moved his young family to Fruitvale, BC, where he worked for West Kootenay Light and Power Company, retiring in 1997. In 2004, Sharon and Ron moved to Kelowna, BC, where they have resided until present day.
Ron was predeceased by his mother Jessie, father Louis, and brother Jerome. He is survived by his wife Sharon of 56 years; sons, James (Mary Louise), Wayne (Corene); and grandchildren, Mikaela, Malcolm, Rebecca, Nathan, and Marguerite. He is also survived by his brother David, sister Constance (Barry), and several nieces and nephews.
Ron had a passion for cars, hockey, baseball, and was a family first guy. He will be dearly missed and in our hearts forever.
By request, there will be no funeral, and as an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the charity of choice.
