CARL BLACKNER
January 7, 1937 - May 18, 2020
Carl is survived by his son Gary (Tracey) and granddaughter Claire of Salt Lake City, Utah. Mourning his loss are his siblings, John, Jennie Ruff (Herb), Anne Veosovich, Donna Elias (Wayne), and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Emil and Justina, and in-laws, Gordon Ruff, Irene Blackner and Ray Veosovich. Our thanks to Liberty and SJ for their friendship to Carl.
Carl grew up in Old Kildonan and after a winter vacation to Los Angeles he decided California was the place to be. In 1965 he made a move to Los Angeles where he worked and resided until his demise. Carl was big on all sports and casinos. Everyone loved Carl!
Rest In Peace.

As much as we will miss him I thought I would share a couple things. We weren’t always the closest at times but as this event has unfolded I know two things. One there was a 90% chance he was going to wear a blue shirt. The second thing is most important I know from talking to many different people that 100% he was a nice guy. That is very comforting because everyone said the exact same thing. - Posted by: Gary (Son) on: Jun 03, 2020
