ALLEN JAQUES
August 24, 1951 - May 28, 2020

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Allen Jaques. Allen passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, after a battle with cancer, at the age of 68.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Val (nee Vermeulen), and his children, Nadine (Jason), Michelle (Jay) and Sean (Brittany). He was also an amazing Papa to Lucas and Anniston, and welcomed his daughters' stepchildren, Cassidy and Jake, into the family.
He will be missed by his brother Wade and sisters, Judy, Sherry, Terry and Lisa. He was preceded by his mother and father, brothers, Randall, Jamie, Chris, and sister Kathy.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Allen can be made to Cancer Care Steinbach (316 Henry Street, Steinbach, MB R5G 0P9, (204) 346-5160) or Bethesda Foundation (Unit 3 - 380 Stonebridge Crossing, Steinbach, MB R5G 2R1, (204) 326-1054).

  • Val and family, we are very saddened for your loss. We met Al and Val when Allen became a part of the Remco Tire family. New to our industry, Allen found his groove quickly and we soon became friends as well as work associates. I was very excited years later when Allen agreed to come and help us with a new venture. Val, over the years I learned that Allen had rare character traits that made him special...Smile and never say too much, Jump onboard and enjoy the ride, Don't complain, Treat all with respect and Help others whenever possible. Allen was a true Jack of all trades and he helped many people. God Bless - Posted by: Cal & Cathie (Friend and Associate) on: Jun 01, 2020

  • We have known Val and Al for many years, have biked and hiked with them every winter down South. Yes Al had a very good sense of humor !! We will miss him dearly. We wish Val and the children and grand children all the best and lots of strength from God above in this hard time. We were thinking of coming to visit you Val, but in Manitoba you still have to quarantine for 2 weeks when you get there, so we will wait till after that time. Love you lots, you are all in our prayers and thoughts !!! - Posted by: Jim and Lydia Petterson (Friends from Mesa, AZ.) on: May 30, 2020
