April 5, 1960 - May 22, 2020

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Kevin Scott McNabb on Friday, May 22, 2020, at his home.
Left to cherish his memory are his son Scott (Marie-Julie), siblings, Robert, Cheryl (Gerald) and Lisa (Michael); nieces and nephews, Amanda (Luc), Brady (Carla), Andrew (Skye), Logan (Diana), Hannah; great-nephew Theo; many other relatives, and his close friends.
Kevin was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Gwenneth McNabb.
Kevin grew up in Windsor Park, attending the local schools and then entered the Canadian Armed Forces shortly after graduation. He trained in Nova Scotia and Alberta and enjoyed his assignment as a Medic. In 2000, with the help and support of his family, Kevin established the Grant Park Hearing Centre and launched his business career fitting clients with the appropriate hearing device. His generous, giving spirit was exemplified in his work with the Starkey Hearing Foundation, taking hearing devices to the less fortunate of the world.
Kevin was always a sports enthusiast, both as a player and a spectator. His greatest passion was spending time with his son, on any motorized vehicle that fit the weather or environment.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honour Kevin's giving spirit by contributing to the Starkey Hearing Foundation.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

  • I just found out today when I heard his passing. I was his client for a long time till he hired a new staff. He is an awesome person to talk to. Will be miss by all of his clients. Sorry for your loss. R.I.P Kevin. - Posted by: Bobbi (Friend) on: Jul 14, 2020

  • I am in shock, my brother had a heart of gold, had some many great times with Kev at his house in Windsor Park and at his cottage house He will be truly missed! "Ooo ya" as he would say! - Posted by: Marco Magnifico (Friend) on: Jun 08, 2020

  • During my high school years, Kevin was one of my best friends. We shared a love of sports and leaned against each other when our hearts were broken for the first time by a girl (though neither of us would ever admit it). As is often the case with high school friends, we drifted apart over the years but I will cherish his friendship during those turbulent years until the day I pass. Rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: Garth Beddome (Friend) on: Jun 04, 2020

  • Scott and the rest of the family! My sincere sympathy to all of you for the lose of a father, brother, & uncle. Prayers! Linda Bertram - Posted by: Linda Bertram (Friend & family) on: Jun 02, 2020

  • Kevin was the best. Kind, compassionate, a patriot and health care (hearing) provider who cared passionately about the welfare of his friends and clients. When I was ill in hospital and had hearing issues, he came to see me and took care of it. Whenever I had a concern or a question, he was there to answer and help. I'm shocked by his sudden passing. I honour his memory and am proud to have been his friend. - Posted by: Jon Ted Wynne (friend) on: May 31, 2020

  • Kevin took care of my mom's (Ruth's) hearing aids for many, many years and she loved going to "visit" him. I was so sad to see this and send our thoughts to the family. - Posted by: Lynda Mackie and Ruth Mackie-Seel (Client) on: May 30, 2020
