GLEN MARTIN THOMPSON
August 26, 1949 - June 4, 2019

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Glen Thompson, after a fierce battle with cancer.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Betty Thompson. He is survived his sister Shirley (Fred) Arsenault of PEI, his sister Kathy and brother Bill, plus his nieces Caley (Justin), Gail and Nicki and nephew Kevin. He is also missed by his friend and cousin Wendy (Doug) Hart, and cousins, Pat (Randy), Jeff (Catie), Joel (Sarah) and Tj.
Glen's dad was in the airforce and this is where Glen's love of airplanes and flying came into the picture. At a young age his family travelled with the airforce postings. They eventually settled in Winnipeg. Glen got the urge to fly and earned his pilot's license.
His go to place in the summer was Dogtooth Lake and spent many years out there. Glen's first love was family and spent his years helping everyone when he could. He loved playing Ticket To Ride games and was a amazing player.
There isn't a day goes by when his stories of days gone by are remembered in our hearts.

We miss you my friend!

  • When someone talks about fishing my first thought is when Glen gave me his rod and I landed the his fish we argued about that for years. Miss you Glen. I'm still fighting my own battles just like I told you I would. - Posted by: Todd Scott (Cousin) on: Aug 14, 2021

  • It is with sadness that I learned of Glen's passing. His help with the Thompson family genealogy was appreciated. Cancer claimed too many of the Thompson family. Rest in peace, Glen. - Posted by: Beverley Smith (Cousin) on: Jun 06, 2020

  • We will miss your stories and you laughter. Thanks for listening to some of my really dumb jokes whenever you visited with Wendy and Doug at Buffalo Point. - Posted by: John and Patt Louchuk (Friend) on: Jun 06, 2020
