LLOYD ELMER POERSCH
January 11, 1928 - June 1, 2020
Lloyd was predeceased by his parents, William and Frieda Poersch; sisters, Margaret (Bill) Ukrainec, Irene (Fred) Johnson, Edith (Art) Neumann; brothers, Gordon (Mae), Herb, Richard, Bob (Beth), and Norman. Lloyd was the last surviving sibling of the Poersch family from Rosenort, Manitoba.
Lloyd was a member of the Brunkild Lutheran Church, and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a longtime member of the Morris Farmers Curling Club, where he served as secretary and treasurer for 16 years. Lloyd was actively involved with the initial establishment of the Morris Stampede and Rodeo.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
The family wish to thank the staff of the Red River Valley Lodge for their wonderful care of Lloyd during his time with them.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or a charity of one's choice.
