FRANCOIS (FRANK) GREGOIRE
November 16, 1985 – June 1, 2020
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we mourn the passing of François who left this world far too soon at the age of 34, a beloved son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, co-worker and good friend.
Surviving to mourn his loss are his mother Lucie (Dupas); father Luc; siblings, Bernard (Angela), Matthieu (Philippa), Benoît, Marc, Élisabeth, David; and his niece and nephews, Annabelle, Thomas and Colin; along with his large extended family. François was predeceased by his grandparents, Roger and Annette Dupas (godparents), Jean-Baptiste Grégoire; uncles, Pierre Dupas and Mel Brisebois.
Growing up on the family dairy, from a young age, Frank developed a love of farming. His ability to work with his hands made him a jack of all trades. Being a hard worker and his affection for animals made him a great farmer while working at Heatherdale Farm. He even rescued his dog, Tina, and a sweet baby deer he named Bambi. He loved making videos involving skateboarding stunts and playing hockey with family and friends on the ice rink that his dad spent countless hours making in their backyard. He was also very fond of being in nature. For the past three years he went on camping trips with family members where they would portage the lakes of Manitoba and Ontario. Frank had a thirst for knowledge in both his personal and professional life. This led him to obtain his Red Seal in carpentry where he used his skills on the job and on his personal properties. He was very meticulous and creative which made him proud of his work.
He will be remembered for his heart of gold. Without fail, he was always willing to offer a helping hand. You could find him generously lending his tools, helping you move with his truck or assisting you in fixing or building something. He touched everybody's lives in his own unique way. Family gatherings were always fun, you could count on him to make a joke or be the center of giving a prank gift. His ability to make people laugh would lighten the mood and put a smile on everyone's face. Through it all, he remained humble and his focus was always to be kind and show unconditional love.
Because of your departure there will now be a big piece missing from our lives. You will be remembered fondly and always remain an important part of us. Our shared bond is unbreakable. We will treasure all the special moments we lived with you and keep them sacred in our hearts.
Sincere thanks to everyone for their support in their own individual way. Throughout this difficult time we have appreciated all those who have reached out by text, phone call, in person or through a simple thought. Every single gesture has brought us much comfort.
A celebration of François' life will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2020, at Prairie Grove Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Feel free to bring a chair and an umbrella to shade you from the sun or keep you dry from the rain. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, we would like to advise that we will only be allowing the immediate family in the cemetery during the ceremony (Frank's uncles, aunts, and their children). We would love to have your support if you're willing to watch from the roadside by your vehicles. After the ceremony, as people are leaving the cemetery, others may come forward to pay their respects to Frank while maintaining the limit of 50 people at one time. The family would like to apologize for any inconvenience. Please spread the news.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Schizophrenia Society.

I just learned this today as I have been living remotely. I am absolutely devastated. We spent almost 7 years working side by side. Frank was the best person I've ever had the privilege to work with and I say this with total honesty. He was a great friend and constantly inspired me. I talked about him often and fondly. I would tell carpentry students about him and would say to them, "Be like Frank". The world has lost a truly remarkable individual. My deep felt condolences to all his family and loved ones. - Posted by: Iain Geeves (Friend and Coworker) on: Jul 06, 2020

Dearest Luc, Lucie and family. We were very deeply saddened to hear of this news in the loss of our special Frank. Frank was very special to us (being our quality control guy in charge of projects that he helped us with in our time that we lived in Lorette). Our deepest condolences to you and your family in this difficult time. Frank (our quality control guy) with his special smile and great humour will be forever remembered in our hearts and memories. He was very special to us and our family, and loved his visits out to our camp at the lake with his family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family in this difficult time. Sending you lots of love, prayers and encouragement for strength to carry you through this time of grief. To the parents and family of Frank. I'm very sorry for your loss and I pray that he may live in the glorious presence of God. I pray that Jesus holds him close to His Heart. I pray that the Immaculate Heart of Mary overlap him with her mantle of love. I also pray for each member of the family especially his parents and siblings and all those who were close to Frank. May you be loved, strengthened and given comfort in this time. Jesus did say that "those who mourn will be comforted" Be assured of my prayers and love. Tevyn and I are so sorry for Frank’s passing. We only knew him through playing recreational volleyball but we really liked him. He was so good at the sport and yet so humble and generous in his desire to help others be better. We are heartbroken for your family and we wish you so much love right now as you mourn this loss. May Frank rest peacefully in the arms of his creator and may all of you draw peace from knowing he will never again suffer the pains of this life. - Posted by: Gina Dallas (Friend) on: Jun 06, 2020

Je vous envoie mes plus sincères condoléances, prières et pensées.... Frank was a top shelf guy. Always with a big smile. I had known Frank professionally for about 12 years. He was absolute well of knowledge. Often we would bounce renovation ideas and how to tricks and talk tools together whenever I was working on jobsites. He had away of explaining how to fix, build, create something that would often leave me feeling inspired. I remember just recently saying how I hated to hang vapour barrier. He simply smiled and asked why? How come? And I went on to explain my struggles with it and my frustration with it. He laughed smiled and explained how to go about doing it. to hang it tightly quickly and efficiently. I just stood in awwe while processing. Than he just smiled said I'll talk to you later and went on to help a delivery driver. I cant think of a nicer guy. Frank will undoubtedly be immeasurably missed. My sincerest condolences. - Posted by: Adam Blair (Co worker) on: Jun 06, 2020

Affectueusement, Alice Bohémier et James Pfleeger - Posted by: Alice Bohémier et James Pfleeger (Cousine de Luc Grégoire ) on: Jun 06, 2020
