MARIE FLORINA DELPHINE MAGNE
(nee JUBINVILLE)
November 27, 1932 - May 29, 2020
Predeceased in 2012 by Charles Magne, her adoring husband of 59 years. She was a loving mother of Martin (Judy) of Ottawa, Jean (Fay) of Ottawa, Gerard (Jo Anne) of Brighton, and Luc (Richard) of Vancouver. Delphine will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Liam, Madison, and Luc. Dearest friend to surviving sisters, Germaine Garand (St. Jerome, Quebec), Anita Johnson (Vancouver, British Columbia), Gisele Messner (Winnipeg, Manitoba), Marie Paule Fortier (Winnipeg), and deceased siblings, Rolande, Henri, Leandre, Emma, and Adrien.
Born and raised on a farm in St. Leon, Manitoba, Delphine and Charles moved to Trenton, Ontario, in 1956, where she became an elementary school teacher and librarian and passed her lifelong love of reading and learning to her four sons. Delphine was passionate about walking - snow, rain, or shine - and greeted each change of season with joy. Gardening was to her another way of giving life. She was good at it and was proud to have been once crowned Trenton's Compost Queen.
A memorial service will be announced and held in Trenton at a later date.
The family requests donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
