DONALD ALLEN GRAHAM
1932 - 2020
Don was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Eleanor; and is survived by Sammy the Wonder Dog; son, Brent (Debbie); daughter, Bev (Rob); grandchildren, Ryan and Kyla; and great-grandson, Jaxon.
Dad was born on May 24, 1932 in Carman, but Myrtle, Manitoba was home. He started working for the CNR at 16, and remained a loyal employee for 41 years. Dad was a Scout leader, and drove for CancerCare. He also rode his "Papa Skoot" in the Skooter unit for the Shriners. One of Dad's proudest accomplishments was receiving his 65 year bar as a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was also past president of Breezy Bend Country Club, and loved golf and his time at the course. Retirement years were spent at Lady Smith on the island, and taking care of grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Dr. Raubenheimer, the staff at Sturgeon Creek One, and the nurses on the 3rd floor of the Grace Hospital for all their care.
Dad did not want a service, but did request a family meal at Rae and Jerry's, his favourite.
Any donations in Don's name can be made to a charity of your choice.

Sorry to hear the news of Don's passing... He was a great guy! He had so many interests and went into everything with gusto. He was a media star with the hearing aids, a friendly driver for Cancer Care, he loved "scootin" around the neighborhood - first on his Shriner scooter and then with the mini scooter to walk Sammie. Best of all he was a devoted husband, loving father, and friend to all. RIP Don Graham, you will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate to meet you. - Posted by: Diane Vice (Friend) on: Jun 16, 2020

My sincere condolences to Don's family as well as Sammy. I had the pleasure of meeting Don when my mom Eleanor was 2 doors down from his suite at Sturgeon. Last time I saw Don he said "next time you are back In Winnipeg you will have to come and sit on my deck when it is warmer". I still stay in the guest suite when in Winnipeg as my mom now lives in a personal care home. I am so saddened I will not get the opportunity for another visit with him and Sammy. Your dad was an incredible man, always so friendly to everyone and always concerned about my mom if he did not see her walking in the hallways. He will be sorely missed by so many who knew him. Again, my deepest condolences to his family, friends and Sammy. Sammy will sure miss Don and living at Sturgeon also. We were both so sorry to hear about Don's passing we know he will be missed. Sammy (The Wonder Dog) was a great buddy for him and especially after Eleanor passed. It was us who took Eleanor to meet Sammy as his owner did not have long, and our friend Heather told Eleanor about him and when they met it was a done deal. It was lovely to see how well they all got on and he was a spoilt, well loved dog, we know he will miss them both. Our hearts go out to the family left behind, and of course Sammy. 🐾🐾🐾 Hugs Babs and Jeff Jones - Posted by: Babs and Jeff Jones (Friend) on: Jun 14, 2020

Have very many fond memories of Don. Always enjoyed our relationship at CN. Also remember 1990 as a special year. Don was the photographer at our daughter's wedding and presented DeeDee and our son-in-law with fantastic pictures. When I tried to pay Don he said it was his wife and his present to the bride and groom. R.I.P. my friend. LeRoy Fox - Posted by: LeRoy Fox (CN- Co-worker) on: Jun 13, 2020
