WALTER MASNIUK
October 28, 1928 - June 7, 2020

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Walter, who passed peacefully at Fred Douglas Lodge, with his wife, Anne, by his side.
Walter was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Anna Masniuk, his brothers, Nick, Joseph, Peter and Michael, and his sisters, Mary, Sophie, Olga, Jenny and Annie. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Anne, his sister Victoria, and several nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to his niece Judy, and nephew Gary, for their extra time and care over the years.
Born in Narcisse, Manitoba on October 28, 1928, Walter worked as a truck driver for a local sausage company, for CN Railway, and as a bus driver for Red River Motor Coach and Grey Goose bus lines before health issues forced him to stop working. Walter and Anne were married on April 6, 1957 and together they resided in their home on McPhillips Street for nearly 60 years before he moved into Fred Douglas Lodge in 2013.
A very special thank you to the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge for the exceptional care Walter received as a resident, there.
As per Walter's wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to current social gathering restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Donations to the Fred Douglas Lodge or Siloam Mission would be greatly appreciated.
