It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Germain Reuther on Friday, June 19, 2020, at the age of 81 years. We will all miss him. He will now be with his son Gerald who will now look after him until we are all together again.
Germain was a quiet, hard-working man of a few words, but very caring to all.
He leaves behind his wife, Jean; son, Jason; grandchildren, Sara, Derek and Holly, and sisters, Helga (Fred), Lori and Christa.
He shared his passions for life with Jean, Jason, and grandchildren, attending all their hockey games and going to the lake with them.
He was employed as a tool and die maker with Bristol Aerospace for over 40 years.
The family thanks Riverview Health Centre 3rd floor for their care of Germain and special thanks to Autumn Teichroew for the compassion she gave us through this difficult time.
Cremation has taken place. Due to the Covid restrictions, a private Celebration of Life will take place in Chapel Lawn Funeral Home with interment to follow in the cemetery. Please call 204-885-9715 between 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to RSVP.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in his name to Riverview Health Centre Foundation.

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • So sorry to hear about the passing of Germain. I had the pleasure of working with Germain at Bristol Aerospace and prior to that had many great memories playing hockey with him. Germain was one of the nicest, most gentle big man I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. My deepest condolences to Jason and the rest of the family. - Posted by: Mike Kneisz (Friend/ coworker ) on: Jul 04, 2020

  • I’m very sorry to hear of Germain’s passing. My deepest condolences to Jean and Jason. Germain was like a father to me growing up. I remember him taking Jason and myself to hockey and many activities over the years. Always remember going to McDonald’s for French fries after hockey. RIP Mr Reuther.
