  • Roy was an extremely caring and kind man who made everyone feel so welcome and comfortable right away. His family and his faith were very important to Roy and he took great pleasure in watching his children grow from babies to adulthood. We, along with Bob, Cheryl and Vicky, are thankful to have met, spent time with and created memories with this true “gentle man” Roy and his family as members of our camp family. Nancy, Jeff and Andrea we hold you close in our thoughts and prayers. • Dear Nancy and family - I am so sorry to hear about Roy's passing. I enjoyed working with him at the PAOC head office when I was David Hazzard's assistant. Roy was so friendly and always so kind to everyone. We had lovely conversations about Winnipeg and about his kids. I'm sure he will be so missed by everyone who knew him. God bless you. - Posted by: Kara Dzikowski (Co-worker at PAOC) on: Jul 07, 2020

  • Nancy - I first met Roy in his role as a parent council chair in the St. Boniface School Division and worked later with him as an elected trustee in the division. Roy was part of the leadership team responsible for the voluntary amalgamation of the St. Boniface and Norwood School Divisions through those years. My sincere condolences to you and your family for your loss. May your memories of Roy and the support of family and friends bring you comfort as you mourn his passing. • Having known Roy for many many years, I can truly say that Micah 6:8 best describes him. "But he’s already made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women. It’s quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbour, be compassionate and loyal in your love, And don’t take yourself too seriously— take God seriously." This is the Roy I knew and will always remember, a man of integrity. - Posted by: Jim Stein (Friend) on: Jul 04, 2020

  • We got acquainted with Mr. Schellenberg when our daughter Sabrina and his daughter Andrea played piano duets together. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family as they grieve the loss of their loved one. The Jacques Family. - Posted by: Anna Jacques (Acquaintance) on: Jul 04, 2020

  • I had the pleasure of knowing Roy when I was at the Eureka Project and he was involved in a tech company. He was one of the kindest men I have ever known and always showed a sincere concern for the well-being of others. I never saw Roy without a smile on his face. This is sad and shocking news and my thoughts are with the family. - Posted by: Gary Brownstone (Business Associate) on: Jul 04, 2020
