ANNA MOROZ
(nee BYLYNA)

Anna Moroz passed away peacefully on June 30, 2020, at Oakview Personal Care Home in Winnipeg just eight days after her 100th birthday.
She was predeceased by husband Dmytro (Dan) in 1978. She is survived by her sons, John (Carole) and Bill; and her granddaughters, Joleyne (son Frank) and Holly (Don).
Anna was born on June 22, 1920, in Chodaczkow Maly, Ukraine and was the youngest of 10 children. She immigrated to Canada by herself in 1938 and shortly after met and married Dan.
Anna was a hard worker and will be lovingly remembered for her wonderful smile, playful sense of humour, kind, loving nature and eagerness to help others. To her everyone was "Sweetheart", hugs were always welcomed and she continued to make friends right to the end. Thank you to the staff at Oakview for their care of Anna in the last year of her life.
A private service and interment will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society or a donation of your choice.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • A wonderful lady, a dear friend. Our thoughts go out to everyone who knew Anna. Loved seeing her perform at Folklorama. She enjoyed singing so much! The world had her for 100 years and we were blessed! - Posted by: Diane Maxwell (Friend and family ) on: Jul 07, 2020

  • Sincere condolences to the Moroz family. Auntie Hanya was an incredible soul-always full of joy and kindness, and an incredibly positive and resilient woman. She gave of her heart and time freely to others. I remember as a youngster running to the door to greet her excitedly-I felt so loved by her. Her love was transparent, and she gave the absolute best hugs in the universe. Her frequent advice was always, "Don't get old" and "don't work too hard" :). I feel very blessed to have her in my life. She will be sorely missed. - Posted by: Catherine Ratusny (great great niece) on: Jul 07, 2020
