DIANE JOAN IRVINE
In Loving Memory of my Mother

This is a poem I wrote in loving memory of you.

My Mom
A voice unheard, wanting life unchurned,
built with love, a challenge of secrecy,
a wanting what's best, a comfort to leave what's unchurned.

My Mom
A constant presence, loud and canvassing,
defy what path life churns for her,
a light that always shines, the love for me

My Mom
A dream, a passion a life of love possessed,
on being my mom the best she was,
as I remember the days she held me,
love acquired.

My Mom
Even though I did not get to say goodbye,
I hope you understand why.
Words not said, challenging alone,
my love for you always, Goodbye....
