Peacefully on July 8, 2020, at the Saul & Claribel Simkin Centre, Maria Rosa Grande, beloved wife of Domenico Grande, passed away at the age of 86 years.
Rosa was predeceased by her brother Giuseppe; sisters, Marianna (Francesco) Cantafio and Palmina (Rafaele) Torchia.
Rosa will be dearly remembered by her husband Domenico of 64 years, daughter Maria (Tomas) Masi, son Francesco; and grandchildren, Joseph (Nunziata) Masi, Tomas (Jenelle) Masi, Robert (Katelyn) Masi, Alexandra Grande (Joey Sexton) and Sebastian (Jessica) Grande, as well as her 10 great-grandchildren.

Rosa was born on February 2, 1934, in Sorianello, Italy. She married the love of her life in 1956 and together with their children they left Italy to seek a better life in Canada in 1963.
Rosa worked as a garment worker at Peerless Garments for five years. She later spent the majority of her life proudly caring for and raising her family.
Mom was a gentle, kind and loving soul, who always put her family first and was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed gardening with her husband and cooking traditional recipes from her home town. She especially cherished the time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, always having a special place in her heart for them. Mom will always be remembered for her unwavering faith and love for God.
Due to COVID restrictions and social distancing regulations, a private Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., officiating will be Reverend Father Sam Argenziano. For those who would like to join in the service, a live streaming will be available on Holy Rosary Church's website.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Joseph, Tomas and Robert Masi, Sebastian Grande; as well as nephews, Vincenzo De Caria, Luigi Torchia, and Daniel De Caria.
The family wishes to express special thanks to all the home care providers, healthcare team and the staff at the Simkin Centre who provided Rosa with loving care.

Riposa in pace, we love you.
