ROGER DESAUTELS
March 7, 1959 - July 13, 2020
Missing and loving him are sister Denise (late Alain) Sabourin, brother Robert (Debbie) Desautels, and all his special nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Francois and Aurore Desautels; sisters, Raymonde Duval and Lorraine Desautels; brothers-in-law, Alain Sabourin and Armand Duval; and nephew Marcel Duval.
Roger was born and raised in St. Jean-Baptiste and enjoyed his childhood days playing with his brothers and sisters. Roger enjoyed biking and visiting all his aunts and uncles.
In 1997 he moved to St. Malo and entered a new chapter of life. He was cared for by a wonderful, loving family and then moved later to a group home in St. Malo.
Roger loved all the excitement, activities and wonderful people that were part of his life. He enjoyed going to hockey games, fishing, dancing, singing, good food and his favourite drink "coke".
Until we meet again, rest in peace.
Cremation has taken place and the immediate family will hold a graveside service at a later date.

Where to start describing the unconditional love that radiated from Roger? He had an infectious smile that melted your heart. I had the privilege of always getting a big hug at all of the Faith and Light meetings that Roger attended. He was always so quiet and yet his presence was powerful. His loves of fishing, watching hockey especially the Jets, singing and dancing were all activities that made him so happy. I would like to thank you Roger for who you were and for always being eager to participating in whatever role we requested of you at the meetings. Thank you to his family for allowing us to love him. I personally like to thank his brother Robert of which Roger always spoke so highly of at our meetings especially because Robert would take him fishing. What memories you must of created. Rest in peace in the arms of the Lord my friend. You will be missed. Condolences to all of his family. - Posted by: Rachelle Tessier (friend (Faith and Light)) on: Jul 21, 2020

My sincere sympathy! I remember Roger coming to visit in St Jean almost daily. I remember teaching him to ride my bicycle, he had a few spills but was determined to learn. He was such a loving guy. Bert & Bev - Posted by: Bertrand Gregoire (Family frien) on: Jul 18, 2020
