RUTH ANNA PEARL MATTHEWS
Ruth touched many people in her life. She had a terrific sense of humour; she was kind and generous and liked by pretty much anyone she met. She was forever young, fashionable and vibrant. She enjoyed a night out at the casino, a good game of cards, music and a great movie. Most of all she loved being with family and friends.
Ruth is survived by her partner Ron Bennett, daughter Heather Earle (Fred Fabro), son James Earle (Angie Earle), daughter Jennifer Earle (Nancy Evans), her two grandchildren, Michael Fabro and Samantha Fabro, extended family and countless friends.
To coin a Ruthism... "I'm going to Love you and Leave you". Gone too soon and greatly missed!

Condolences & Memories (8 entries)
I worked with Ruth in the mid 70's with the Federal Government. We were also part of a group of work friends who got together to play poker, have a glass of wine or two, and have fun. Ruth loved to host parties and it was important to her that everyone had a good time. She was a compassionate person who had a quick, wonderful laugh. She loved life. I moved away and haven't seen her since but she will always hold a place in my memories and heart. Her passing will leave a void in the lives of all who loved her. My sincere condolences. - Posted by: Colleen McEwan (Old Friend) on: Jul 31, 2020
Ruth was a very, very special lady. Kind and giving, she was always fun to be around. Whether it was visiting us down south or sending that appreciated birthday card, Ruth made others feel better. I will miss her. - Posted by: Wayne Cummins (friend) on: Jul 25, 2020

I have not seen Ruth for many years, but have many fond memories of her. What a classy woman she was, and always had a wonderful smile and A warm greeting for everyone. I was her Union Representative, and she always expressed her appreciation for the work I did on behalf of the people in Yellow Pages. It was my honour and privilege to know and love her. My sincere condolences to her Family and friends at this time of sorrow and grief. Truly Ruth was one of a kind. RIP till we meet again. - Posted by: Margaret Hadfield (Friend) on: Jul 20, 2020

Dear Ruthie, you will always be in my heart and thoughts. Our long friendship began with Yellow Pages long ago. Your many visits here in White Rock visiting Heather, made it easy to extend our friendship over the years. We we able to listen to what was important to both of us..particularly family, and just crazy laughter about "whatever!" You were my "bestie" and I will miss your kindness and generosity that was who you were to a fault. Ron was special to you in many ways along with family and friends. Your circle was big. I am proud to have been a part of that...rest now dear friend and know you are lovingly missed. Hugs, Patti - Posted by: Patti Heatherington (Friend) on: Jul 19, 2020
Condolences to Ron & all of Ruth’s family!! I’m so sad to hear of the passing of my dear friend Ruth from back in the days at MTS! Ruth was a great lady, she always brightened my day! She was so kind & always had a way of cheering me up during difficult times in my life! We’d always talk about California & going shopping on Rodeo Drive in Beverley Hills together one day. I did bring back a beautiful print of a picture of the famous Rodeo Drive for Ruth one year. Rest In Peace my dear friend!! Until we meet again!
