CHARLES CLARK COWELL
Clark will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 51 years, Allison; children, Wendy and Curtis (Mary-Sue); his three beautiful granddaughters, Stephanie, Madison and Grace; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He is also survived by his sister Ann Prockert.
In his younger years Clark enjoyed his leisure time and some school time at the curling rink as well as taking to the air with his pilot's license. He enjoyed camp life from an early age and family and friends have many fond memories of his time at Falcon Lake. His early morning coffee "with the boys" at the Deli was something he counted on.
Clark committed his life to his family. First, by working in the family business his father founded; Western Petroleum Construction Ltd. Later, he took over the business and worked until his retirement at the age of 73.
In more recent years he enjoyed winter trips with his wife; jumbles, crossword and sodoku puzzles; following baseball, football and hockey on TV or simply spending time with family. His granddaughters brought him so much joy and made him extremely proud.
Clark's sense of humour and hearty laugh will be missed by many. He will be fondly remembered as a man large in stature with an even bigger heart.
A celebration of Clark's life will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at ANAVETS #283, 3584 Portage Avenue. An interment service will take place on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Avenue. Please gather at the front cemetery office.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.

Clark was truly a great friend and neighbour. We have very fond memories of times spent together with Curtis and Wendy, Ryan and Mercedes, socializing at our pool or having coffee or drinks at your dining room table. Clark always provided an uplifting presence. He really made you feel welcome. His home was your home. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are will you all at this very sad time. - Posted by: Connie & Ross Shaver (friends) on: Jul 19, 2020
