Shocked beyond words. Bev was one of those larger than life characters, who you never forget! I am just retired and thought I would look up Bev (been many years) and reconnect.......very, very sad to hear about her passing. Kindness that it was sudden, for I do know a lingering illness would not have been tolerated well by her. We had fine dinners together, she cooked me a flambé Cornish hen for my bday, I was Apr 6 & she was the 8...... very kindred spirits we were.....many good times and laughs! I will see you again Bev ! - Posted by: Karen (Friend) on: Jul 17, 2023

I am so sorry to hear of Beverly's passing. We were friends so many years ago, though we lost touch. She had a beautiful charismatic personality, was an amazing storyteller, and loved life ... we laughed and had so much fun! What a lovely human being, and such a good friend! My sincere sympathies to her family. The world will not be the same without her, but she has left us smiling with our memories of her presence. Very shocked to hear of Beverly's sudden passing. Although Bev and I hadn't been in touch for the past couple of years we always shared some good belly laughs and memories of old friends and situations when we got together. I'll miss the word play, witty banter and stories of our shared past. Rest in peace, Beverly. - Posted by: Wes Hildebrand (Long time friend) on: Aug 30, 2020

My thoughts of comfort and peace your family that she spoke so lovingly of, her eyes lit up when she shared pictures of them with me upon her return from her adventures. Our work relationship turned into a friendship and our "venting " sessions at work often ended with her belting out a Etta James song or sharing stories of the Toad in the Village, we shared an admiration of the Blues and Anthony Bourdain (she would gush like a school girl when she spoke of him) She would talk politics with me once in awhile (a subject I have no interest in I admit) ..but Bev had a way of making you want to listen to her smooth voice and humorous wit, she had "a way about her" , she was a mentor to me when I started at Mys, (Poplar House) and we parted as friends, so happy to hear she was retiring. She had the class and style of a true lady, her mischievous giggle was as wonderful as the songs she would belt out at work. I was cheddar and Bev was a chicoutirie board, she still made me feel like a valued friend and coworker, often keeping me in line with her reasoning, she had the patience of a saint, and while she and I had last encountered health issues she would find time to call and ask how I was, reminding me to have a cup of tea, and telling me of the fine dinners she prepared. People like her are Angels here on earth, a helper, empath and one groovy lady..The girls miss u, and we share stories that make us smile. Godspeed my friend. - Posted by: Heather (Coworker who had the opportunity of calling her friend ) on: Jul 27, 2020

I am at a total loss for words and have been since I heard of Beverly or as I call Ms. B's passing. My friendship with Beverly goes back almost 40 years when we met through mutual friends. Through out the years we remained very close, having dinner at each others houses, going for drives in the summer to the lake, we even went to Hawaii together, and celebrating each others birthdays together each year. I can even remember the entrance she made at my sister's wedding in her gold dress, something we always talked about, I still have her bottle of peach schnapps in my fridge which she liked to sip on when she came over. This are a fraction of the memories I will cherish that I have of my friendship with Beverly. Over the past several months we spoke to each other every couple of days and I would walk by her apartment and take a picture of the building and send it to her and jokingly ask her why she did not come out to play when I was there. My last conversation with Beverly was on July 6 and very sadly I now know why my three voice messages I left her to see how she was doing never were returned. I am going to miss those calls and I am going to miss my dear friend. Even though we did not meet Graham I felt as though I knew you as Beverly always spoke of you, Brenda, your three boys and of course your mother with such love. I am truly sorry for your loss and I hope like myself you have great memories to comfort you through this great loss. Mark - Posted by: Mark Kagan (Dear Friend) on: Jul 21, 2020

My sincere condolences go out to the family. At work we were our own funny little family, and we took the news hard. Bev left a wonderful impression on her coworkers and clients. She will be so missed by all of us at Poplar. - Posted by: Megan Hall (Co worker) on: Jul 19, 2020

Beverley and I met over 21 years ago when our boyfriends, Bill and Hari, were both playing at Alley Cats Piano Bar. We made friends quickly and have always kept in touch. We spent many Christmases together and always enjoyed talking about our trips and of course, our beloved cats. She was a good friend, and we will miss her.
