  • Barb joined Data Control at the University of Manitoba when our Supervisor was Marge Petty (sadly Marge is no longer with us). I became Supervisor after Marge left and Barb was a member of my team. She always impressed me how fast and efficient she was. The Professors loved her as she marked their exams quickly. Some of the Professors would bring her flowers, chocolates or cards to express their thanks. John, I always remember that you were their for your sister, always. Barb was blessed to have you in her life. Andrea, I remember visiting you at your home when you were just 3 weeks old. You must miss your Mom a lot now but know that she is in a beautiful place now - filled with peace, beauty and unconditional love. Take care. - Posted by: Dianne Winser (Supervisor at the University of Manitoba) on: Jul 18, 2020

  • So very, very sorry to hear of Barb’s untimely passing. She was such a dear person, very unassuming, quiet, a real pleasure to know and work with, for so many years at the University of Manitoba. Very sad that those days are now gone, I can still see her driving off from work in her blue Camaro. Happy travels on your next adventure Barb! - Posted by: Ian Brown (Co-Worker at University of Manitoba) on: Jul 18, 2020
