  • David just seen the obituary for Betty on the internet. So sorry to read the sad news. I do hope you are keeping well yourself but I would understand there is now a huge void in your life. Keep well my friend, it's a great pity we are so many miles apart as neither of us can travel far now. It would be good to be in touch again. Many memories of our early life in Witney. All my best wishes. Don - Posted by: Don PAINTER (School friend) on: Nov 13, 2020

  • Oh I’m so sad to learn of Betty’s passing. I met Betty at Vista Park Lodge years ago. We worked together in the recreation department providing many services for the seniors to brighten their days. This included putting on musical plays in which role she shone!! She was a bright light, full of merriment and always up for fun. Our friendship continued with phone calls and letters and cards over the years. My heartfelt condolences to you David and her family. May she Rest In Peace! 💕 - Posted by: Janice Caine (Friend) on: Jul 29, 2020

  • Dear David: So sad to hear of your loss and I share I many memories of days gone by. Our times in the Welsh Society were special, whether arranging events or just sharing in a heritage which was, and is, so precious to us all. Betty was a realist, and called things for what they were which was always an added value to the Society. I have also lived through the loss of a life partner and the times were not easy. However, the fact that Betty was in Palliative Care was indicative that her quality of life was not good. You can rest well assured that she has escaped the bonds of this life, and has entered into the promised land where there will be no pain or suffering. Stay strong and stay well my friend. • "Chance made us neighbours. Hearts made us friends." I met Betty and David shortly after they moved into their Brandtwood Estates condominium, across the hall from Annette's, my mother. During my regular visits from Montreal, we quickly discovered our mutual love of books, movies and good conversation. Betty became a dear and wonderful friend, whom we'll greatly miss. May you rest In peace, Betty. Our thoughts are with you, David, and to you, Clive and Pauline, during these difficult times. - Carole & Annette - Posted by: Carole LeNeal (Friend) on: Jul 19, 2020

  • I'm so very sorry to hear of Betty's passing. She was so proud of her Welsh heritage and donated many items to our Society as fund-raising items. My granddaughter has enjoyed wearing Betty's Welsh wool jacket for many years now. And the Welsh doll that she donated to the Society is always on display at our various events. My deepest condolences to David and family. Rest in peace dear Betty. - Posted by: Mair Livingstone (Friend) on: Jul 18, 2020
