Today marks the one year anniversary
our family said good-bye
to the most beautiful person in the world.
We thought the hardest thing was saying our last "good-bye, I love you". We were wrong; it has been all the "Firsts" without you that have been the hardest. The first Christmas where your smile would not be seen lighting up a room. The first pop by visit where your voice never met our ears with the famous
enthusiastic "Hi Sweet Heart" as your eyes would twinkle with happiness to see us. So many times we have reached for the phone to call you, but paused in disappointment, no more sharing our triumphs and stories of the day or compiling the next fix it list. "G" it's difficult to put into single words the profound loss we are all feeling; you truly are the core of this family. You were far too humble to take credit for it, but without your constant influence and guidance, none of us would be where we are today. What you did for us growing up has given us the foundation,
wisdom and strength to grow into who we are today. How blessed we were to have you. The word Home is defined as a gathering place for family to join in laughter, the one place you will always be surrounded by those who love you, a place or feeling of belonging -
YOU WERE HOME TO US.
Losing you was one of the deepest sorrows our hearts have known.
Rest in peace our beautiful angel;
let your soul fly free; when it's time
we will be home together again.
We love you forever and always "G".
