MONTY GLENN SMITH
October 7, 1950 - July 16, 2020
Monty was born in Winkler, Manitoba on October 7, 1950, to Clement Charles Smith and Sarah Francis Smith (Birch). He was predeceased by both of his parents, and his brother Brian Smith.
He will be missed by his wife of 31 years, Katherine; three sons, Patrick (Cheryl) Smith of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Glenn Smith of White Fox, Saskatchewan and Bryan Smith of Borden, Saskatchewan; two daughters, Carrie Smith of Winnipeg, Manitoba and Kelly Smith of Surrey, British Columbia; his ex-wife Eleanor Smith of Winnipeg, Manitoba; three sisters, Edith (Dale) Coulter of Ottawa, Ontario, Colleen King of Cucanama, Equador and Linda (Peter) Van der Veen of Rosedale, British Columbia; along with many grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
There will be no service held, however, there will be a memorial held at White Fox, Saskatchewan, in one year on August 1, 2021.
Those whom we love do not go away,
they walk beside us every day;
Unseen and unheard but always near;
Still loved, still missed, and very dear.

I love you 😘 uncle. I have so many great memories with you. All the barn yard parties. Learning about farm life and what happens to a chicken with their head chopped off. lol I also really appreciate the time you spent teaching me how to maintain and repair my cars.
