YVONNE ELLEN BROUGHTON
(nee STELCK)

It is with broken hearts we share the sudden passing of our beautiful mother, sister, auntie, nana and love, Yvonne Ellen Broughton (nee Stelck), at the young age of 58. On Tuesday, July 21, 2020, she passed away suddenly but peacefully while at her beloved Brereton Lake cottage...
Deeply mourning her are: Darrell her love and life partner with his sister Karen and entire family ("you'll always be my Peanut"), Samantha her daughter and son Kingston, Mackenzie her son with his partner Mikayla and sons, Landon and Kai, her dear mother Marion Stelck (dad Frank passed in 2014), sister Lorraine with partner Rod and her son Brett, twin brother Howard with his partner Marietta and girls, Eliza and Melissa, brother Ron with his wife Val and son David, and Dan (Sam and Mackenzie's dad) with his entire family. Also grieving with us are her dear soul sisters, Jennifer and Kathy Debeer, family friends, Colette, Carly, Taylor and all the many relatives, friends and colleagues she truly loved and treasured over her lifetime.
Yvonne was a special force in our family... she kept us loving and laughing her entire life. She absolutely treasured her three grandsons, Kingston, Landon and Kai... they were her special gift. Her daughter Sam and son Mackenzie kept her close and the love they shared was unshakeable. She leaves with them her unconditional love, her sense of adventure, the precious magic of mother nature and her belief that life is truly beautiful.

  • I worked with Yvonne at a ladies shoe store back in the late 70’s early 80’s, she was a delight to be around, always laughing, positive; a conscientious employee. She made such an impact that even though I hadn’t seen her since that time, I’ve often thought about her over the years, I was always hoped for a chance encounter. I’m heartbroken to hear of her passing. She was a dazzling woman, sadly her light has been turned off. We all feel a great loss. Condolences to the family. - Posted by: Dave (Co-worker) on: Jul 28, 2020

  • It's hard to articulate our daily misunderstandings that no one else but you and I would understand. We would be wheezing with laughter and not even sure why. You saw the good in the bad, and the bad in the good, and it was funny either way. We could shut it off and in an instant and discuss what was troubling us. We always closed with a smile and a hug. Always assuming we could catch up the next day. Love and miss you everyday. Drinks on you when I get there. .......JW - Posted by: Waterman (Friends ) on: Jul 27, 2020
