PETER REMPEL
1933 - 2020

After a brief illness Peter was called home to be with his Saviour on July 21, 2020.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Lilly, children, Vera, Lilly (Tom), Vern and Adele (Jeff), grandchildren, Melanie (Cory), Andrea, Garrett, and great-grandchildren, Gretchen and Hunter.
Peter was born in Russia and after the end of the Second World War, he immigrated to Paraguay. It was there he met the love of his life, Lilly, and started his family. The family would make one more move to Canada where they settled in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Peter worked in a steel plant for 37 years before retiring at the age of 62. He loved camping, fishing, gardening and most of all he was a devoted husband and loving father. Weekends were always spent at a park, a beach or in the winter, around the kitchen table playing games with his children and then his grandchildren. He was always the happiest surrounded by his family.
A private family service has been held.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
