We will always love and miss you. Wally loved life, his family, fishing, the cabin, his friends and his church. His belief in God was strong and carried him through his pain.
Rest in Peace.
A Fisherman's Prayer
God grant that I may live to fish until my dying day, and when it comes to my last cast, I then most humbly pray; when in the Lord's safe landing net I am peacefully asleep,
that in His mercy and love I be judged as
big enough to keep.

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)
Rick invited me out to the cabin for a weekend of fishing many years ago, and Wally and Margaret welcomed me with open arms and treated me like family with love and lots of food. Wally would make this big breakfast and made sure you ate well for a day of fishing, well like many folks I could tell a few good stories of fishing with Wally. I recently told Rick one of those stories that I will never forget thanks Wally for the great years of fishing and you teaching me a few new fishing tricks. RIP you will always be missed. Wally to me was and always will be Pa. I have many pictures of all of you fishing and out at the lake my favorite is Pa on the new riding lawn mower proud as could be. I would like to share one story. Last Christmas Ma Pa and Rick came for lunch. Since it was after Christmas I just made sandwiches and Ma brought dessert. Pa took an egg salad sandwich and his comment was My thats one good egg salad sandwich! and he really meant it. Warmed my heart that such a simple thing could bring such joy and appreciation. He was such a wonderful caring person. My husband and I have gone through some tough challenges ourselves these last couple of years and the support and thoughtfulness we received from all of you has been most comforting. I hope we can do the same for you at this most difficult time. Our deepest most sincere sympathy on your loss thoughts an prayers are with you. Love always.
