EUNICE ESTHER BAND
October 15, 1930 - July 28, 2020
Eunice had an insatiable thirst for knowledge and education, and drank deeply from the cup of life. Widely read, she loved poetry, the arts and nature. She was spiritual and held her faith in the Lord with a strong, quite confidence. She led a long, rich and rewarding career as a professional nurse. Always giving, she was bright, beautiful and generous. She loved and was dearly loved by her family and enjoyed a wide circle of friends, relatives and acquaintances. She was thoughtful, kind and gracious - a fierce fighter for social justice and the underdog. She had a sharp wit and wonderful sense of humour. She loved to laugh - especially with her sisters. She touched many lives with her intelligence and her charm. She will be sorely missed.

Greater love has no one than this,
that one lay down his life for his friends."

Eunice was a kind, involved parishioner at Church of the Good Shepherd for many years. She was always willing to help. I wish to send my condolences to her family from mine - Wendy (then Winther), Andrea & Stephanie - Posted by: Wendy Wylie (Parishioner at Church of the Good Shepherd) on: Aug 02, 2020
I’m so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I met Eunice 35 yrs ago at work and I remember loving the person that she was. She hosted a bridal shower for me and helped me put one on for my co worker Bev. In 2009, she allowed my parents to see her suite at Silverview Estates and it was due to her that they had 7 great years there! I’ve very very often thought of Eunice and how she was doing. I loved her smile and laugh more than anything. I know her passing will leave a huge void in your lives. Take care. - Posted by: Lesley Rooney (Work friend from Meadowood Medical ) on: Aug 02, 2020
Please accept my sincere condolences for the passing of your mother. My acquaintance with Eunice dates back many years to when the family resided in Kenora, Ontario. She had many special qualities. She was an excellent nurse and I was so pleased to hear she had continued her education to become an RN. I happily had occasion to see her when I attended the St Boniface Alumni dinners. A life very well lived. God Bless. - Posted by: Shirley Myles (Friend) on: Aug 01, 2020
