(nee CAIN)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected yet peaceful passing at home of our mother and grandmother, on July 27, 2020, at the age of 88 years.
Left to remember her smile, devotion and gentle spirit is daughter Pat (Bob) Scardina, daughter Karen (Ron) Ghidoni, grandchildren, Dwaine and Melissa. Survived by brothers, Doug (Barb), David (Gloria), and Gary (Florence), and sister Roberta Verch (Lawrence).
Ginny was born on November 17, 1931 in Winnipeg and at an early age moved to Winnipeg Beach where she met and married the love of her life.
She was predeceased by Doug (husband of 57 years), parents, Arthur and Annie Cain, and brother Dick Cain.
Ginny was known for her avid love of crafts, gardening, and challenging puzzles. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandkids.
In accordance to Ginny's wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to limited space, the celebration of Ginny's life will be held for immediate and extended family at 2:00 p.m. on August 7, 2020 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. followed by interment at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. For those unable to attend, memorial cards will be available by contacting either daughter.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Ginny to the Manitoba Lung Association or Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division.
