SHERIANNE ROSE HARRISON

Sherianne Rose Harrison, wife of William Deason Keir, born July 14, 1975, in Winnipeg, passed away July 29, 2020.
Predeceased by maternal grandparents, Tom and Mildred Silvester and paternal grandfather Lawrence Harrison, her mother Donna Harrison and uncle Sid Silvester.
Survived by her husband Bill Keir, her grandmother Rose Harrison, father Rick Harrison, sister Melanie Meilleur, brother-in-law Nate Brideau, seven nephews and nieces, and aunts and uncles, Cathy and Ray Mackie, Kathy and Wayne Harrison, Barb Farrough, Stacey and Brian Harrison, Laura and Michael Yaneshewski, Jan and Greg Silvester, Shirley and Hal Silvester, as well as many cousins.
Sherianne attended Stony Mountain Elementary School 1980 to 1988, and went on to Stonewall Collegiate Institute, graduating 1993. She spent one year in Residence at Brandon University.
Following in her mom's footsteps, Sherianne began her career at the Canada Revenue Agency in a temporary entry level position in 1998. She was never out of a job with them, despite the highly seasonal nature of her position. She quickly progressed to more responsible and permanent roles and in recent years worked her way up to a senior position with Headquarters Branch. She loved her job and turned many colleagues into friends.
Among Sherianne's many interests in which she took great joy over the years were folk music and dancing, volunteering at Oak Hammock Marsh, camping, crafting, cooking, photography, live theatre, board games and travel. She immensely enjoyed her many, many travels all over the world with her husband, family and friends.
She was smart, funny, sweet, gentle and kind. She loved travel, her friends and her job. She will be sorely missed by all who loved her.
Special thank you to the nurses and doctors at ward 6E of St. Boniface Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Feral Friends Sanctuary or World Vision Canada.
A service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020.

  • Sherianne was always a welcoming and genuine person. Despite our lives being worlds apart I could always sit down and have great conversations with her. Having not worked with her in well over a decade, I thought of her now and again - I know she’ll be missed sorely by those close to her as well as by those, like me, who may have have not been close to her anymore but who will be forever shaped by wonderful memories shared with her. The world has lost a great person but shall forever be better having known her. May the grief of those who loved her be quieted by the joy she brought to your hearts. - Posted by: Tracy Morgan (Friend ) on: Aug 01, 2020
