How sweet it is to be loved by you. Aurele died peacefully on the morning of August 5. His beloved Caroline, his wife of 58 years, was holding his hand in his passing just as they had held one another in a life well-lived. They shared together pride in their three children, Gerard and his wife Sharon, Suzette and husband Andrew, Mariette and husband Kristoph, parents of their only grandson, Joshua.
Aurele was passionately committed to helping those in need, using his many God-given gifts to make the world a better place in the best ways he knew how. There was nothing so broken that it couldn't be fixed as he used his ingenuity and creativity to restore, repair, rebuild and build anew. Many a time he was the sounding board for challenging situations, offering his insights and expertise to inspire and empower others, encouraging them along the way.
Aurele was born in Ste. Agathe, the sixth child to Louise Anna Lemoine and Auguste Bremault. He is predeceased by his brothers, Gaston, Paul, Guy, and Gilbert. Those who remain to treasure his memories are their spouses, Laurette, Claire, and Jeanette, as well as his siblings, Roger (Rose), Therese, Aline, Gerald (Shirley), Annette, Lea, and Michel (Lorraine), his in-laws, Helen (Roman), Stanley, Olga, and many nieces and nephews. His community also included his many friends, neighbours and members of their parish community.
Thank you to all who have supported him on his journey.

Condolences & Memories (10 entries)

  • Carole and family, So sad to hear of Aurele’s passing. You two were good friends to my parents and I got to know Aurele as an easy going, generous and giving man. I also remember Aurele as always having a smile and laughing. Many years ago when my car broke down he fixed it in his garage as I watched him make new parts. What skill! He did it out if the goodness of his heart (and helped out a poor teenage student). - Posted by: John Albo (Family friend ) on: Sep 02, 2020

  • Our condolences to you Caroline and your family. I have fond memories renting your apartment. Learnt alot about fixing fridges, stoves, and repairing ceilings. He was also very inviting and always had time to talk. I enjoyed our visits when I would come by to pay the rent, showing and going over the motor he installed in his truck. Last time I spent time with aurele was after we moved out of the apartment, turns out we moved only a couple miles away from the place in iles des chenes. Ran into him and he invited me over and showed me everything he was up to there. Very nice man, I am happy to have met him. - Posted by: Marc Gendreau (Tenant) on: Aug 11, 2020

  • I will forever be grateful for Aurele's special friendship with my late son Roland when they were neighbors in Ile-de-Chenes. The two enjoyed a father/son relationship. Aurele's valuable advice and his sense of humour were so appreciated by Roland. To Caroline and the Bremault family I extend my sincere sympathies. May he rest in peace and may his memory be a blessing. - Posted by: Eveline LeGal (Friend) on: Aug 10, 2020
