DAVID WILLIAM LESLIE LIVINGSTONE

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of David William Leslie Livingstone, P.Eng. David was surrounded by his wife and three sons at St. Boniface Hospital on August 9, 2020 at the age of 79.
David is survived by his wife Verna Livingstone, his brother Richard (Billie) and sons, Warren (Terra), Martin, Cam (Terry), and stepson Sam (Emma). Predeceased are his parents, David and Dorothy Livingstone and sister Barbara Lowther.
After graduating as an Electrical Engineer, David worked for Canada Wire & Cable and later went on to sell Life Insurance at Monarch Life. After working for Century Flooring, David became co-owner of Winnipeg Sewer & Drain from 1980 until selling the company in 2013. David and Verna enjoyed their summers with friends and family at their cottage in Silver Harbour. David kept busy in retirement as Treasurer for the Unitarian Church.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 14, 2020 at Bardal Funeral Home. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we ask you to please join us for a live stream via Bardal Funeral Home Facebook page.

I remember us attending our UU classes together and then reconnecting with you both when I sort of found my way back to the church (too many years of the Church of the Hoops (basketball) with the girls.   • Dave was up for the challenge of the Engineering program and survived in a study challenge that eliminated 66% of the initial entrants and combined that knowledge with his entrepreneurial spirit to build an interesting and successful career path. Super nice guy and great classmate . Like so many of us we lost touch after some years but the good guys are never forgotten .   • I was so sorry to receive the news that David has passed on. We got to be friends at the Unitarian Church, where I was office administrator until my recent retirement from there. Dave was an astute and meticulous treasurer, who went above and beyond the expected duties of that role. He was also a good and caring human being. Sadly missed.
