Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • My favorite people and loyal customers for so many years. It was a pleasure to deal with Syd and Audrey and assist them with their cruise vacation. Their excitement was contagious. I looked forward to hear from them when they came back from each of their trip. Syd and Audrey called me often from a casino in Las Vegas to give them random numbers to bet on. Too funny, made my day every time! - Posted by: Maria Andrade (Your Cruise Agent friend) on: Jun 09, 2025

  • We were very young when Audrey was married to our Uncle Marsh, but our strongest memories of her from that time are of her kind and gentle nature. Her interest in our lives continued even in later years. She and Syd attended Allan’s wedding and Allan and Stephie visited with the Pauls in Las Vegas. Don was able to keep in touch with news about them and their travels through their mutual friends, Joe and Karen Mascioli. We Phimisters were able to continue contact with Audrey and Syd when they came back to Winnipeg to see friends and her mother, Flo. We were happy that Audrey found her perfect match in Syd and that they had 45 wonderful years together. Our condolences to you Syd and to your daughters. We are sure Audrey will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Allan and Don Phimister (Nephews) on: Aug 20, 2020

  • One of my most fond memories was of spending time with my Mom at Audrey’s boutique in Winnipeg. While she and my Mom chose ‘just the right outfit’ I was able to admire all the beautiful pieces in the store. A highlight was her sharing sneak peeks of the new season’s fashion that had yet to be displayed in the store. Riding about in her convertible was something that I always looked forward to. And our chats. We had some great chats. Of course there was the visits that we all enjoyed at Hillside beach. So many memories have been made. Both in life and love, Audrey inspired me to have the courage to follow my dreams and never settle for anything other than what was right. Cal and I send our condolences to Syd and those mourning the loss of a very lovely lady. – Shannon and Cal - Posted by: Shannon Beddome-Lorenz (Long time family friend ) on: Aug 15, 2020
