JOHN HENRY ERICKSON
January 27, 1949 – August 9, 2020

After a lengthy illness, John Henry Erickson, aged 71 years of Ashern, MB, passed away on August 9, 2020 at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern, MB.
John is survived by his brothers and sisters, Linda and Ken Lawrence, Debbie and Blaine Jones, Duane and Lise Jones, Bradley and Dianna Jones; his nieces and nephews, Sheryll Garber, Carrie Lawrence, Janet Sandstrom, Jaret Lawrence, Kit Lawrence, Jay Jones, Paige Jones, Jillian Jones, Sam Jones, Cheyenne Jones and De-Shaun Jones; 14 great-nieces and nephews and two great- great-nephews.
He is predeceased by his dad Henry Erickson; stepfather William Jones; mother Edith Jones; sister Barbara Edinger and brother-in-law Stan Edinger.
John lived his life his way. He was a friendly person who always had a 'hello' with a big wave for everyone he met or passed by.
Our family would like to thank the Ashern Home Care workers for the wonderful care John was given.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to the Lakeshore Hospital Guild, c/o Julie Bergner, Box 721, Ashern, MB R0C 0E0.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service was held in the Ashern United Churchyard Cemetery.
