CAROLE ANNE LARIVIERE

Carole Anne LaRiviere (nee Barker) passed away peacefully, on August 3, 2020.
Carole was born October 4, 1945, living most of her life in Winnipeg, MB. She worked at Chateau Lanes for 30 years, later retiring to Victoria, BC. She was an amazing person and had a smile that those who knew her would never forget. She had an outlook on life that most of the world can only wish they had. Her happiness was infectious. She was such a special gentle soul. She was a wonderful wife, mom and Grandma.
Carole is predeceased by her husband Ray, Doris (mom), Norm (dad). She will be sadly missed by her children, Janette (Dan), Mike, Jacquie (Erin) and Cari (Jake); grandchildren, Hayden (Jess), Ainsley, Rebecca (Jeremy), Matthew, Amanda (Sean), Meghan (Andrew), Jessica (Dustin), Nicholas, Arianna, Violet, and Neveaha, great-grandchildren, Jayda, Miles, Max, Stella, Jameson and Jasper, brothers, Wayne (Yvonne) and Norm (Penny).

"Heaven has received the
most beautiful Angel."

Thank you so much for the staff at Mount Tolmei Hospital in Victoria, BC; your love for Carole did not go unnoticed.
A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.

  • Condolences to the family. Saddened to hear of Carole’s passing. I have not seen her in a long time but I will always remember her kind spirit and beautiful smile. A friend from long ago. - Posted by: Stewart (Friend) on: Aug 19, 2020

  • Sending my deepest sympathies to all Lariviere family and friends. I am so sorry you’ve lost your Mum. Ray and Carole, whom I affectionately called The Tickley Man and Tickley Woman were such a warm, fun part of my childhood. Whether they wanted it or not ( as I recall I spent quite a bit of time there), I was always warmly welcomed and cared for by Cari, Carole, Ray, Mike, Jackie and Janette. I always looked forward to going and being at your house. Everyone was ALWAYS so good to me and I regularly looked forward to going to such an interesting, lively household!! Something was always going on: to visits in the kitchen; relentless tickle sessions in the living room; going into Mike’s room to see his latest cool artwork, to the girls giving me little things; going to the store!! And ALL the hours Cari put in babysitting me!!!❤️❤️❤️... .... ( I hope my parents paid well??) Times at Grand Beach are treasured too!!❤️ Thanks for always making those times positive, fun, safe and laced with a true sense of love and warmth. We were lucky to have you!! I send nothing but love, sweet memories, and time for blessings and healing as you make your way through these steps... I like to believe all our parents are up there having some good times and laughs again. Maybe they’re bowling again too?? 😉... Love you all. • To the most beautiful person I know. I love you mom so much and will miss you tons. You were not only my mom but my best friend. You were a shining star and taught me to be nice to everyone even if they weren’t nice to me. Thank you for being the best mom to me. Jessica and Nicholas had the best Grandma and they have memories they will cherish for a lifetime. - Posted by: Cari Anderson (Daughter) on: Aug 15, 2020
