Date of Passing: Aug 11, 2020Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or Memory
January 12, 1944 - August 11, 2020
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband J. Brian Trump; children, Doug Trump (Andrea), Kerry Lee and Jackie Trump; grandchildren, Hudson, Justyna, Myles, Kylie, Nils, Soren and Anders; and brothers, Tony Chuback (Donna) and Mervin Chuback (Nancy). Joan was predeceased by her brother William Chuback (Alice).
Joan was born on January 12, 1944 in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan and grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She worked for the Winnipeg School Division as an elementary school teacher for over 30 years. In retirement, Joan enjoyed yoga, playing golf and travelling to Texas for the winter months. Joan touched many hearts and was loved and respected by her family, friends, coworkers and students and she was an amazing wife, mother and gramma.
Throughout her battle with ALS, she taught us love, courage, perseverance, and acceptance. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages a donation to the ALS Society. We have been extremely grateful for the ALS Society and the ALS Clinic at Deer Lodge Hospital for all their love and support.
Due to COVID-19, only immediate family will attend a graveside service and a Celebration of Life will happen at a later date when all family and friends can safely attend.

My sincere sympathy Brian and family. I remember Joan as being quiet, but tenacious in having her freedom and keeping up her strength by walking the golf course till she couldn't golf anymore. I admired her courage while facing ALS, this as well from all the ladies who knew her at St. B. Courage for you now Brian and the family. From all the ladies at ST. B. and me. It is so very hard for us to imagine and realize that Joan is gone. May she rest in Peace. Fran and I go back so many, many years with the Trump and Chuback families. I first met Brian in Junior High at Riverview school and Fran met Joan at J.B.Mitchell those many years ago, and we stayed friends since those school days, Brian and I and Joan and Fran. Much later, after Junior High days, Fran and I introduced Joan and Brian back at United College, now the University of Winnipeg and that was a long time ago. After all of us eventually married, and the four of us had remained close friends ever since. Our hearts, our thoughts and our prayers are with Brian and his family. With our love, Fran and Lionel - Posted by: Fran and Lionel Moore (Friends) on: Aug 20, 2020

I’m so sorry to hear that Joan has passed. I saw her for eye exams over the last eighteen years and saw what ALS had taken from her. But she was always in good spirits when I saw her and she kept me up to date with Doug, Kerry, and Jackie. I wish I could be there with you guys. My sincere condolences. - Posted by: Cam Livingstone (Childhood friend of Doug) on: Aug 15, 2020
