My condolences to Marcel, Gisele and Diane. We were neighbours on Sanderson Ave. and I worked with Amanda at McCoshams. She was a good friend, so sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Delma Friesen (Neighbour and co-worker) on: Aug 23, 2020

Beloved Aunty Amanda, I’m so glad you didn’t suffer too long. And I’m thankful to know you’ll wake in a better place. I remember always looking forward to spending those two weeks each summer visiting you all, as a child. And the snacks not typical at my home of summer sausage, ritz crackers, cucumber and raspberries from your garden. You always had a special way of showing your love and affection, always encouraging words. Loved your clever wit and humour and of course, your hugs. I can’t forget to mention the sweet memory of how you’d “plant a vegetable garden” at bedtime on my back to help me fall asleep. ❤️ That’s a calming tradition I passed down to my girls. It was wonderful to be able to speak to you in Spring. I can still hear your voice in my head. I think you were maybe the sister of my Mom’s who was most like her. Maybe that’s one reason why you and Uncle Marcel were chosen as my godparents? Uncle Marcel is pretty terrific too. ;) My condolences to all who loved her - and I know there are many! Most especially her best friend and husband, my Uncle Marcel, and my cousins Gisele and Diane, as I know how hard it is to lose a Mom no matter the age. May her memory always bring blessings to you/us all. And, may each day bring a measure more of peace to you all in knowing how many people she blessed during her life by just knowing her, and that she’s with the Heavenly Father now. - Posted by: Evelyn Sabatier (nee Lachance) (Niece & Goddaughter) on: Aug 16, 2020
