MEERA A. CHAITRAM
(nee LUTCHMANSINGH)
June 19, 1948 - August 15, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Meera; loving wife, mother and grandmother, who peacefully went to be with her Lord, surrounded by family at her daughter's home.
She is survived by and will be deeply missed by her husband, Bill; daughter, Dawn (Darryl); son, Duane; grandson, Joshua; sister, Shanti; and many extended family members.
She is predeceased by her son, Joel; parents, Bob and Sunardai; and brother, Enal.
Mom was born in Trinidad, West Indies. She and her husband immigrated to Winnipeg in 1967. Mom worked at the Royal Bank and Air Canada for many years. Mom loved her home country and vacationed there frequently to be with her family. She and her family loved travelling, and she gave the gift of appreciating all cultures to her children.
Mom was a woman of great faith. She and her husband established Liberty Chapel in 1977, where she co-pastored. Mom loved her church family, and continued to pray for them in her final days. Despite her illness, Mom's faith never waivered.
The family wishes to thank the WRHA Palliative Care Team for their exceptional care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Siloam Mission.
Due to COVID-19, a private service will be held.
