JOHN WILLIAM PATS
September 17, 1944 - August 15, 2020
He was surrounded by and will always be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 52 years, Elizabeth, and his sons, Andrew and Craig (Lisa). He will also be missed by his grandsons, Rylan and Graesen, who held a special place in his heart and were the light of his life; they will miss him terribly. Let's not forget his favourite granddoggie Marvin.
A special thank you to brothers-in-law, Albert (Barbara) and Robert (Julia), and to Dr. Kim Wiebe.
John always had a story to tell you or a different way to look at the situation, whether it was with one of his friends, someone he played a round of golf with, a tax client who always turned into a friend, or maybe he tried to beat you at shuffleboard.
He was predeceased by his mother and father, Elizabeth and John Pats.
He is survived by his sister Patricia (Nathaniel) Gurin as well as William (Patricia), Frankie and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation can be made in his name.
Everyday he seemed to try and help someone who needed a helping hand.
In his memory, always be kind!

I still remember the time that my Dad gave money to a guy who said that he needed to buy medicine or something for his kids. I said to my Dad that he was probably going to buy some alcohol or something with it. But, my Dad said that “whether he was lying or not says something about HIS character, but hearing someone in need and choosing not to help when I have the means to says a lot about mine.” ❤️ you Dad, miss you so much already ❤️ - Posted by: Craig Pats (Son) on: Aug 22, 2020

Story of John he came to our house to do are taxes, after he was done we sat there chatting and having a drink of straight rye I asked if he wanted mix he said you drink rye straight. Another time me, Andy met up with his dad for meat draw at the legion and Andy said we are sitting with my dad because what ever table his dad sits at always wins.
