Over the years, Teresa could be counted on to be that one friend that was there to offer a helping hand to someone in need, to help them through their troubles. Teresa always put others first, never herself, even at the end when Teresa's struggle with cancer began to take its toll.
Teresa worked for the provincial government for almost 21 years. She loved volunteering for several different charitable organizations, listening to her favourite music, especially from artists like Bon Jovi and Corey Hart. Teresa cherished her time with family and friends and enjoyed summers out at the lake as much as possible.
Throughout her journey with cancer, Teresa was always as upbeat as possible, still joking around even when times were tough. Teresa fought hard and with grace.
Left to honour her memory are her two sons, Brett and Corey, to whom she loved fiercely, her mother Concetta, which in her adult life became her best friend, her brother Felice (Angela), who has been with her every step of the way in this journey, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and all her close friends.
Our thanks go out to Dr. Patricia Harris and the team at Grace CancerCare for their support over the years.
As per Teresa's wishes, there will be no formal service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation or to the Never Alone Foundation in her memory.
This obituary was written by Teresa.

May their Memories Live on in our Hearts! Written by Laurie Fischer When someone close to us passes away, There is such an overwhelming sense of finality, We live with a fear of the future, Wondering how we will go on. Friends and family are always compassionate expressing Their support, their love and sharing our loss. I express very simple words “May their memories always warm your heart”. They mean so much more to me as all we now have left are The lifetime of memories they shared with us. Pictures and stories will help us pass through the period of grief, But their memories remain in our hearts for the rest of our lives. Allowing us to move forward into a new life without someone so special. Allowing us to live on with the loss we feel, day by day. Allowing us to preserve all the cherished moments together. Allowing us a calm peace to accept our changed life. Allowing us to remember and relive a lifetime of memories. Expressions of condolences are sympathetic But we need to be able to cherish our memories. To have those memories live on in our hearts For the rest of our lives. So, I say to you, anyone who has lost someone, Family or friend, someone you loved, you cared about. May their memories live on in your heart! May their memories always warm your heart! - Posted by: Laurie Fischer (A Fellow Cancer Warrior!) on: Aug 22, 2020
