ROBERT (BOB) HENRY JONES

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Henry Jones on the eve of July 21, 2020 at Rockyview Hospital in Calgary, AB.
Bob was predeceased by his loving wife Carol Rowena Jones (Jordan); his daughter Terry Ann Dokken (Jones); his brother Earl Jones; his parents, Wilson Stewart Jones and Edith Jones (Bischoff); and his dog Brownie.
He is survived by his sisters, Verna Watson and Barbara Fay; his sisters-in-law, Ruth Palachuk and Doreen Inkster; his daughter Leia (Marlene) Gamache (Jones); his granddaughters, Arielle Peek; Dana Smith (Dokken); Crystal Aime (Dokken) and Candice Dokken; his great-grandchildren, Jaedyn Flaman; Robert and Makayla Aime; Katrina and Dorian Dokken; as well as his nieces, Tannis Vinette; and Loreen Patterson; and nephews, Daniel, Mark and Michael Watson; Cameron and Todd Fay; Tim and Jim Jones.
Bob was a dedicated family man who worked hard for all of his life, up until his retirement. He worked in the mines (in his early days) then later at Allen's Auto Glass (Speedy) in Winnipeg, MB. Upon retiring, he created beautiful sandblasted mirrors with the love of his life, Carol, long into his elder years. What a talented couple they turned out to be.
Some knew him as a quiet man of few words - the guy with the massive funny t-shirt collection - Carol's husband (as she was the outgoing one) - or the guy sleeping in the Lazyboy recliner with one eye open in case you changed the channel...but those that knew him well understood what importance he placed on providing and caring for his family.
Bob loved his family, his move to Calgary...and especially his yearly road trips to BC...well into his 80s! He sure had some stories to tell and will be dearly missed by many.

Here's to one last road trip, Dad!
We love you to the Half Moon and back!

There will be a small gathering at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens on August 28 at 11:30 a.m. followed by an outdoor video presentation, by Robert Aime, as well as story telling around a fire at Kilcona Park Alliance Church, 1977 Norris Road beginning at 6:30 p.m. Please bring a lawn chair if you are planning on attending.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society are welcome in lieu of flowers.
