SAIYED MOHAMED WASI RIZVI

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of S. M. Wasi Rizvi of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Born in Lucknow, India, he immigrated with his family to Canada in the 1960s. He taught English at Elmwood High School.
He passed away peacefully at his home on August 17, 2020, at the age of 90.
His family and friends will remember him with love for his kindness and generosity.

  • Mr. Rizvu also taught psychology. I remember he encouraged me to sit at the front of the class instead of the back where I know I would certainly not paid attention to his teaching. Mr. Rizvi is one of my fond memories of high school. He was a quiet man with an incredible sense of humor.
