ROBERT KOLIDA
July 26, 1946 – August 21, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Robert (Bob) Kolida. Bob passed away peacefully at the age of 74 at St. Boniface Hospital.
Bob was born July 26, 1946 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Roberta Kolida, children, Robert (Sherry) and Ronald (Sharon) along with his grandchildren, Sydney and Fergus. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Josephine.
Bob spent all of his life in Winnipeg and had a long career at United Grain Growers, later Agricore United, in a management position. Following his retirement 14 years ago, Bob spent his golden years with his soulmate Roberta living a very simple and fulfilling life. Bob loved to travel with Roberta to sunny destinations during the winter months. His true passion, and where he was at his happiest, was when he was spending time with his family whom he cherished more than anything.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors of the Intensive Care Unit of St. Boniface Hospital. Their care and compassion was nothing short of amazing.
In accordance with Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation at stbhf.ca.

  • BOB & I grew up together on ALFRED AVE. across the street from one another. our happiest moments in our young days were when we played ball hockey & football on the street for 6 hrs. during the weekends the biggest crime we did was when BOB disconnected the odometer on his dad's car & we went to DETROIT LAKES & also when we took donuts & jam busters from the bakery truck on the corner. unfortunately after our school days @ SISLER we drifted apart.
